The Potomac waterfront Neo-Georgian estate which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places is used for formal engagements and social events. The lack of emergency power for the estate had caused difficulties when there were normal power interruptions. Our scope of work included proving the electrical engineering services to provide emergency power to the estate.
Surveyed the site and reviewed available drawings to determine the existing electrical conditions.
In coordination with the owner and users determined the required emergency power for the site.
Performed the calculations to determine the size of the gas fired emergency generator and related transfer switch for the emergency power.
The electrical construction documents were prepared for the addition of the emergency power to the estate.
Construction phase services including site visit, review of shop drawings submittals and responses to the contractor’s questions were performed.
