Batch Oven Exhaust System

The batch oven was located in an industrial building which housed various production equipment and the paint spray booths. Our client was the equipment manufacturer who requested the study and design of the exhaust system serving the new paint spray booth for compliance with the applicable codes and regulations. Generally, our scope work included the following items:

Reviewed and studied the drawings and information provided by the paint spray booth manufacturer.

Reviewed and studied the industrial building floor plan and related HVAC system where the paint spray booth will be located.

Reviewed and studied the mechanical and fire codes for the design of the exhaust system serving the paint spray booth.

Selected the proper explosion proof exhaust fan, sized the exhaust ductwork with the required exhaust air velocity, and provided related drawings.  All requirements of the applicable fire codes were incorporated into the drawings submitted to the Authrityies Having Jurisdiction.
