Provided electrical & structural engineering services for the addition of the automated conveyor belts in several large warehouse buildings. The electrical system within the existing and newly constructed were studied for preparation of the construction documents for the addition of the automated conveyor belts. The electrical design was closely coordinated with the conveyor belt manufacturer.

With the increased home deliveries during the COVID, the LaserShip which is a major delivery company and based in Vienna, Virginia expanded their service and opened several new facilities in the Maryland and Virginia.  The facilities were in the warehouse buildings and equipped with the conveyors for assortment of the packages and shipping docks for delivery purposes.

Reviewed the electrical and structural documents of the existing warehouses for coordination with the new work mainly consisted of addition of the electric conveyors.

Provided electrical drawings showing the power connections for various pieces of the electrical conveyor in coordination with the available electrical capacity in the existing warehouse.

Provided structural drawing for the support of the electrical conveyor from the exist concrete slab.

Coordinated with the electrical conveyor supplier concerning the electrical and structural requirements including the safety feature off the conveyor.

Permitting and construction phases were performed for this project.
