Bowie Health Care Center - ED/Admin. & Medical Office Building

F&H has developed a long-term professional relationship with Bowie Health Center (BHC) providing specialized mechanical, electrical, plumbing and structural engineering design for many of the health center renovation projects. For over twenty years BHC has relied on our engineering services. A summarized list of projects that our firm has completed for Bowie Health Center is listed below.


Renovations at Medical Office Building:  

Design of the mechanical and electrical system for renovation of the existing 9,500 sq. ft. patient areas, laboratories, etc.


2nd floor renovation at Medical Office Building:

Design of mechanical and electrical system for conversion of an existing 12,000 sq. ft. shell space into physician suites.  Structural engineering support services were provided.  


Orthopedic at Medical Office Building:

Design of the mechanical and electrical system for conversion of the existing shell space into Orthopedic Dept.  


Dental Clinic at Medical Office Building:

Design of the mechanical and electrical system for conversion of an existing shell space into a dental office.  


Mechanical & Electrical room renovation at Medical Office Building:

Design of a spilt air conditioning unit for an existing mechanical and electrical room.  


Some of the additional projects at Bowie Health Center, for which F&H Consultants has provided MEP and structural engineering services within the past twenty years are as follows:


  • Clean room HVAC modifications/Sterilizers.

  • Operating Rooms HVAC modifications.

  • Blood Lab HVAC modifications.

  • Administration offices renovations (approximately 7,000 sq. ft.).

  • Emergency Department renovations (approximately 15,000 sq. ft.).

  • Elevator in the adjoining office building was added to the generator.

  • Study of the HVAC system serving the surgery center and preparation of a report.

  • Conversion of several shell spaces into the medical offices in the adjoining office building.
