The project consisted of the site lighting and extension of electrical power to the golf storage area for the addition of the power outlets serving the new and more energy efficient golf carts. The site lighting included the driving range, green practice area, parking lot and driveway leading to the club house. Our scope of electrical and structural related work included the following items:
Design of LED lighting for the driving range, green practice area, parking lot and driveway.
Performance of several lighting calculations for conformance with the illumination requirements for the golf course standards. Several versions of the lighting calculations were shared with the owner for the preferred selection.
Performance of lighting calculations to prevent lighting spill over into the adjacent residential area and major highway causing lighting pollution.
Performance of the electrical load demand calculations to verify that there is adequate existing spare electric capacity for the addition of the new power and lighting to the existing electric service.
Preparation of the electrical construction documents including drawings showing the demolition and new work for the site lighting in the driving range, green practice area, parking lot and driveway and extension of the electric power from the club house to the golf cart storage building.
Preparation of the structural documents for the support of the new light poles which included 40 ft. light poles for the driving range.
Responses to the building permit department for obtaining required permits. Construction phase serving including review of the shop drawings submittals and responses to the contractor’s questions were performed.
